Sport and exercise are wonderful for our wellbeing, but injuries can happen, whether from an accident, overuse or sometimes poor training methods. As a regular part of our practice we assess and manage a wide range of sporting injuries, from minor niggles to major problems. Common examples include ankle sprains, knee ligament and cartilage (meniscus) injuries, calf muscle tears, overuse injuries of the leg, shoulder tendinitis, dislocations and instability, tennis elbow, spinal pain and fractures.
When you first present for physiotherapy, a thorough initial assessment helps us determine an accurate diagnosis and management plan. From there we build a program tailored to your injury, your sport and your goals, combining hands-on treatment and targeted exercise to help you recover strength, movement and confidence. Because getting back to sport safely matters, we take care to progress you at the right pace to reduce the risk of re-injury.
One of the real advantages of our clinic is the team around you. If your examination indicates a significant issue, we can arrange a prompt review with a sports medicine physician or orthopaedic surgeon, and these services are available on site. We also have an x-ray facility in our practice, and where an x-ray is required it is bulk billed. It means faster answers and a smoother path from injury back to the activities you love.
We carry out a detailed assessment to diagnose your injury and set out a clear management plan. Treatment combines hands-on care and progressive exercise tailored to your sport and goals. If needed, we can arrange a prompt sports physician or surgeon review and on-site x-ray, with x-ray bulk billed.
Suitable for athletes and active people of all levels with injuries from accidents, overuse or training. It is ideal if you want a clear diagnosis, a return-to-sport plan and quick access to specialists.
