Sport and exercise are great for our wellbeing, but injuries do happen, whether from an accident, overuse or poor training methods. The injuries we see range from minor niggles to more serious problems. As a regular part of our practice we assess and manage ankle sprains, knee ligament and cartilage or meniscus injuries, calf muscle tears, overuse injuries of the leg, shoulder tendinitis, dislocations and instability, tennis elbow, spinal pain and fractures.

When you first come in, our initial assessment helps us determine an accurate management plan so you know what caused the problem and how best to recover. Treatment typically combines hands on care with a progressive exercise program to rebuild strength, control and confidence, and a clear plan for a safe return to your sport.

One of the advantages of our clinic is the support around us. If your examination points to a significant issue, we can arrange a prompt review with a sports medicine physician or orthopaedic surgeon, and these services are available on site. We also have an x-ray facility in our practice, and the x-ray is bulk billed when required. If you are unsure whether we can help, call and have a chat with one of our physiotherapists.

What to expect

We assess your injury to establish the cause and an accurate management plan. Treatment combines hands on care with a progressive exercise program and a staged return to sport. If needed, we arrange prompt sports physician or surgeon review, with x-ray available on site.
